Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly spent Friday moving through Los Angeles together from morning to late night, the latest in a run of outings that has turned a rumoured new romance into one of Hollywood's most watched talking points. Page Six reports the pair were photographed leaving a music studio in the city in the morning, then spotted leaving the Chateau Marmont at around 11:30 p.m. — still in the same outfits, still side by side.
For the daytime outing, Johnson, 37, kept things casual in jeans, a long black leather coat and black flats, with a grey sweater draped over her shoulders, Page Six reports. MGK, 36 — whose real name is Colson Baker — wore a denim jacket and matching jeans with a white tank top and brown boots, and was seen helping Johnson into his car. By nightfall the jacket was off, showing his tattooed arms, as the two were photographed sitting together in the back of a car outside the famous Sunset Strip hotel.
The sightings are the latest chapter in a story that began last month, when the pair were spotted stepping out of a black SUV together in New York City before heading to Taylor Swift's Tribeca apartment, where the singer was reportedly not home. According to Page Six, the two first met at Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce in July, and what began as friendship has steadily turned into something more.
Sources close to the pair have told People they are spending more time together and growing closer with every outing, but have not put a label on the relationship yet. One insider said the two bonded over a shared dry and dark sense of humour, adding that they make each other laugh. Neither Johnson nor MGK has publicly confirmed that they are dating.
The Los Angeles outings follow a string of earlier sightings, including a low-key date at a Hollywood speakeasy in mid-October and, according to an earlier Page Six report, a night MGK spent at Johnson's Los Angeles home after a studio session, with his car still parked outside the following morning. Johnson was also spotted in the front row at Vogue World in Milan in September, where MGK performed.
For both stars, the rumoured romance follows high-profile breakups: Page Six notes Johnson split from singer Role Model a little over two months ago, while MGK and Megan Fox parted ways in 2024.
