Diljit Dosanjh to Ring In 2027 in Abu Dhabi With One-Night-Only New Year’s Eve Show
Diljit Dosanjh will spend New Year’s Eve in Abu Dhabi. The Punjabi singer is set to perform a one-night-only concert at Etihad Live on Yas Island on 31 December 2026, Gulf News reported, in what will be the only Middle East date of his AURA World Tour.
The show is billed as a high-energy send-off to 2026, Gulf News reported, with a midnight countdown and surprises planned through the evening. It will be presented by Live Nation Middle East in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral.
A tour built on record-breaking rooms
The AURA World Tour covers 40 cities across 15 countries and five continents, Gulf News reported, with stops including Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, New York, London, Mumbai and Delhi. The scale reflects a run of firsts that has followed Dosanjh through 2026.
In Australia, Gulf News reported, he became the first Punjabi artist to headline and sell out stadiums, drawing more than 90,000 fans. His 2026 North American run attracted more than 225,000 concertgoers and grossed USD 32 million across 15 shows, surpassing the record set by his 2024 Dil-Luminati Tour, according to Gulf News, including two consecutive sold-out nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Then came Wembley. On 12 September 2026, Dosanjh became the first Punjabi artist to headline London’s Wembley Stadium, selling out the venue during a nine-city European and UK tour, Gulf News reported.
More than a concert star
Dosanjh’s rise has not been confined to the stage. In 2023, he became the first Indian-born artist to perform at Coachella, Gulf News reported. His songs G.O.A.T, Lover and Proper Patola have together passed 700 million views, according to Gulf News, and he has collaborated with Sia and J Balvin.
The tour supports his album Aura, released on 15 October 2025, Gulf News reported. Dosanjh has also built a parallel career as an actor, earning an International Emmy nomination in 2025 for Amar Singh Chamkila, according to Gulf News, and he drew attention at the Met Gala in a custom ivory sherwani and turban by Prabal Gurung.
