Halle Berry's ex-husband Olivier Martinez doubled down on his abuse claims in court on Thursday, accusing the Oscar winner of abusing him during their relationship — even as her attorney confronted him with his own previous sworn statement denying any history of domestic violence between the former couple, Page Six reported.

Day four of the hearing

The French actor, 60, was grilled by Berry's attorney, Marina Beck, during cross-examination at Los Angeles Superior Court, marking the fourth consecutive day of proceedings in their ongoing custody dispute and domestic violence restraining order hearing, the outlet reported.

When Beck asked whether he was alleging that Berry, 60, had committed acts of abuse against him dating back ten years, Martinez replied, "Correct." He also acknowledged alleging further abuse in 2023, including statements Berry purportedly made to their 13-year-old son, Maceo, according to Page Six.

The sworn statement that contradicted him

Beck then presented Martinez with a declaration he signed under penalty of perjury on September 30, 2024, in which he stated there had been no history of domestic violence between him and Berry. After Martinez confirmed that the signature on the document was his, Beck directed him to a section addressing the former couple's history of domestic violence.

"There is no history of domestic violence between the parties," Beck read from the declaration, per the outlet.

Berry's response

The Express Tribune reported that Berry submitted video evidence and messages she says contradict Martinez's account of a September 26 incident, as her ex seeks sole custody of their son.

The high-stakes hearing continues to draw intense coverage, with two sharply opposed accounts — and two sets of documents — now before the court.

Whatever the court decides, the case has become one of the year's most closely watched celebrity custody battles — with each day of testimony generating fresh headlines and starkly different accounts of the same marriage.
