Jay-Z's anniversary concert at SoFi Stadium delivered not one but two moments fans will be talking about for a long time: his 14-year-old daughter Blue Ivy joining him on stage at the piano, and his wife Beyoncé sitting in the crowd alongside her former Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Blue Ivy takes the keyboard

The surprise came on Friday 23 October 2026, during the first of two weekend shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Jay-Z's debut album Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint, People reports. Video footage showed Blue Ivy joining her father on stage to play keyboard on "The Story of OJ" and "Dead Presidents". People describes her wearing a pink-and-blue leather jacket with gold jewellery and glittering blue makeup, and says she hugged her father, bowed, blew kisses to the crowd and flashed a peace sign before walking off.

A Destiny's Child reunion in the crowd

While the father-daughter duet unfolded on stage, another reunion was happening in the audience. Beyoncé watched the show from a suite alongside Rowland and Williams, with videos showing the three dancing and singing along, People reports. The trio did not take the stage or perform together — but for fans, seeing all three Destiny's Child members together again was a moment in itself. USA Today notes that the group last performed together during a surprise appearance at the final Las Vegas show of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour in July 2025.

A night full of famous faces

The anniversary show drew a star-studded crowd. USA Today reports that Rihanna was also in attendance, and that the guest lineup on stage included John Legend, DJ Khaled and Scarface. WIO News, reporting on 25 October 2026, adds that Blue Ivy is no stranger to the big stage: she danced alongside her mother on the Renaissance World Tour in 2023 and the Cowboy Carter tour in 2025, and previously played piano for her father at his July anniversary concert at Yankee Stadium in New York. According to WIO, Jay-Z later praised her piano skills in a GQ interview, describing her as a talented pianist who prefers to learn songs on her own rather than take formal lessons.

One more night to go

USA Today notes that the SoFi Stadium show on 23 October was the second-to-last stop of Jay-Z's anniversary stadium series, with a final show scheduled at the same venue on Saturday 24 October — leaving fans wondering whether the closing night could top a father-daughter duet and a Destiny's Child reunion in a single evening.
