Jennifer Lawrence Confirms Breast Surgery and Says She Wants to Be a ‘Sexy Mom’

Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed that she underwent breast surgery, in a candid profile published by The Cut on Tuesday, 27 October 2026. Entertainment Weekly, reporting on the profile, said The Cut confirmed that Lawrence had a breast augmentation — a procedure she had previously described as her dream. Her explanation was characteristically direct: she wants to be a “sexy mom.”
“I want to be a sexy mom”
“I want to be a sexy mom,” Lawrence told The Cut, according to Entertainment Weekly. “At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her s--- together even when I’ve just woken up and don’t have my s--- together.”
The line captures the balance Lawrence described: holding on to her sense of style and confidence while raising two young children. She shares two sons with her husband, art gallery director Cooke Maroney, Entertainment Weekly reported — Cy, aged four, and a second son born in early 2025.
A year of talking about it openly
Lawrence had not kept the idea private. In an interview with The New Yorker in October 2025, just after the birth of her second child, she said she was open to cosmetic surgery and was considering a breast procedure, Entertainment Weekly reported. She also discussed a possible facelift, declaring, “Believe me, I’m gonna [get one]!”
She returned to the subject in a Vogue interview published on 3 September, Entertainment Weekly reported, explaining that acting limits how much she can have done to her face. “I can’t really get very much done,” she said. “I need to have movement in my face — I get baby Botox, but I can’t do a lot.”
Bustle, also reporting on The Cut profile, said Lawrence had felt especially motivated to have the procedure before filming a nude scene in Martin Scorsese’s What Happens at Night, which has now finished production. Lawrence told the magazine she still would have had the surgery without that reason, Bustle reported, although she might not have hurried to the appointment in the same way.
What else she discussed
The facelift remains a future hope, Entertainment Weekly reported; the Cut interview reiterated her wish to have one in the future. Lawrence also spoke about treatments she approaches cautiously, Entertainment Weekly reported. She said she avoids fillers because they show on camera, and she is nervous about fat transfers for herself. She would love buccal fat removal, she said, but will not have it because everybody would notice.
None of that was presented as advice. It was Lawrence talking about the choices she has made after two pregnancies — and about wanting to feel put together on the school run.
