Martin Garrix Announces Debut Pop Album 'MARTY' With U2, Madonna and Ed Sheeran

Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix has announced 'MARTY', his 14-track debut pop album, arriving March 5, 2027 via STMPD Records and Darkroom Records — reported by SPIN on October 21, with Billboard and Rolling Stone India following on October 22.
Announced at Amsterdam Dance Event
Garrix unveiled the album at an exclusive Spotify pop-up event kicking off Amsterdam Dance Event on October 21. The record marks a deliberate shift: his 2022 album 'Sentio' was a "club album", while outlets consistently describe 'MARTY' as his first pop record — with Garrix singing on it himself.
Big-name collaborations
The collaborations are the headline: U2 feature on "Fireflies" — reportedly the first time all four U2 members have appeared on a single track with him — with Bono mentoring Garrix and co-writing on the album. Ed Sheeran appears on "Repeat It", Madonna on "Bizarre", and Spanish singer Aitana on a Spanish-language song. The opener, "Catharina", is named for Garrix's mother, and the album title comes from his first DJ alias, DJ Marty.
"Just at the beginning"
In comments reported by Billboard and SPIN, Garrix reflected on the milestone: "Even though I've been doing this for most of my life, I still feel like I'm just at the beginning."
Pop territory, announced in Amsterdam
The Spotify pop-up event that launched the announcement was part of Amsterdam Dance Event's opening-day programming on October 21. Billboard's October 22 coverage and Rolling Stone India's report both centered on the star-studded collaborator list, underlining how the album brings Garrix fully into pop territory after the club-focused sound of 2022's 'Sentio'.
With the release set for March 2027, the months ahead are likely to bring the album's first singles and tour plans — though none have been announced yet.
