Parker Posey Puts 12 Celebrities Under One Roof as Hulu's 'The Mob' Premieres Today

Hulu’s new celebrity reality competition The Mob premieres on Monday 26 October 2026, with Parker Posey presiding over a game where loyalty can be rewarded — and betrayal can pay even better.
A villa, a family and a Don
According to Hulu’s announcement, reported by EntertainmentNow and JustJared, the series sends 12 celebrities to a lavish Italian villa for a game inspired by mob movies. The contestants take on mob-movie-inspired challenges to stay in the game and build a cash pot worth up to $250,000. New episodes will roll out weekly, with the premiere arriving on Hulu at 3:00am ET on Monday, according to EntertainmentNow. In the United States, bundle subscribers can also watch through Hulu on Disney+, while viewers in other markets can watch on Disney+, JustJared reports.
Absolute power, every episode
The twist at the heart of the show is the Don. Each episode, the group chooses one of its own as Don, and that player gains absolute power: deciding who earns money, who stays in the villa and who gets “whacked” — the show’s term for elimination. The rest of the family must then decide whether to stay loyal to the Don or rise up and overthrow them. That shifting balance of power, rather than any single challenge, is what the format is built around, and it is why comparisons with The Traitors keep surfacing: The Mob comes from the executive producers behind that hit, with Studio Lambert and Primal Media producing.
Who is playing?
The 12 contestants span reality television, acting and music. Aida Turturro, who played Janice Soprano on The Sopranos, brings the most on-the-nose mob credentials, while Debi Mazar — known for Younger and for Goodfellas — arrives with a similar screen history. Dancing with the Stars judge Bruno Tonioli and The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Gorga add big personalities, alongside RuPaul’s Drag Race star Willam Belli, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Demi Engemann, Bachelor Nation stars Maria Georgas and Shane Parton, Selling Sunset star Chelsea Lazkani, Let’s Marry Harry star Harry Jowsey, Love Overboard star Bella Palk and rapper Romeo.
Why Parker Posey?
Posey hosts the series and also serves as an executive producer, according to JustJared and BroadwayWorld. MemorableTV notes that she arrives freshly Emmy-nominated for her role in The White Lotus, and her dry, knowing screen presence fits a format that asks its host to preside over shifting alliances without ever quite tipping her hand. Whether the Don survives the episode or the family turns may matter less than how convincingly each player performs loyalty while planning the opposite.
For viewers who enjoy reality competitions built on deception, The Mob offers a familiar thrill with a new costume: mob-movie glamour, a villa full of famous faces, and a chair everyone wants — and nobody can safely keep.
