'I Found a Part of Myself I Had Lost': Prateek Kuhad Opens Up Ahead of Dubai Opera Concert

Singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad says his new album, Full Moon Chamber, is the most personal work of his career — and he is bringing it to Dubai Opera on October 24 for the opening night of his tour. Speaking to Khaleej Times ahead of the concert, Kuhad described finding his way back to himself through the album's creation.
On finding himself through the music
"I found a part of myself I had lost," Kuhad told Khaleej Times, describing the personal journey behind the new record. On how he works, he said: "Artistic independence, to me, is just having the space to experiment with my process, making music as it comes to me rather than forcing a narrative." The interview traces an artist who stepped back, listened to his own instincts, and returned with songs built around intimacy rather than scale.
Why Dubai Opera is the right stage
Kuhad, who has performed in Dubai before, said the Opera house was a deliberate choice for the tour's opening night. "I started my journey with intimate venues and while arenas have their own magic, this album is very intimate in emotion. I think it couldn't have gotten a better opening night," he told Khaleej Times. He called the venue rich both infrastructurally and culturally, adding that intimate shows have a give-and-take of energy between artist and audience — "the audience contributes to how the songs sound and feel and that's always magical to experience."
The setlist and what fans can expect
Fans can expect a setlist that moves between old favourites in English and Hindi and the new Full Moon Chamber material. "I really don't want to spoil much, but I have enjoyed making this setlist. It has this beautiful journey as the old favourites, both English and Hindi, blend and move into the songs from Full Moon Chamber," he told Khaleej Times. "You just have to be there. It's turning out to be one of my favourite setlists." The concert takes place on October 24 at Dubai Opera, with tickets available through Dubai Opera and Platinumlist Dubai, the outlet reported.
