Savannah Chrisley Secretly Married Jason Galanis in Cayman Islands in July, Records Show

Savannah Chrisley was already married when she announced her engagement this week. The reality star and Jason Galanis tied the knot on 14 July at Cayman Islands Baptist Church, according to marriage records obtained by People and reported by Page Six on 29 October, about three months before she shared news of her pregnancy and engagement.
The ceremony the records show
Page Six reported that the marriage records place the ceremony on 14 July at Cayman Islands Baptist Church. The wedding took place quietly, with no public announcement, and the detail only emerged after Chrisley’s double reveal on Tuesday.
In that announcement, Chrisley did not say that she and Galanis were already husband and wife, Page Six reported. She also did not identify him by name, referring to him only as “J” and noting that he was much older. He was later identified as Galanis, 56, who is 27 years her senior.
Who Jason Galanis is
Galanis is a convicted fraudster, Page Six reported. In September 2020 he was sentenced to more than 14 years in prison for two schemes, including one that defrauded a Native American tribe and investors out of tens of millions of dollars, and was ordered to forfeit about $80 million and pay an equal amount in restitution.
Page Six also reported that Galanis served time in the same prison as Chrisley’s father, Todd Chrisley, testified in March 2024 in the impeachment inquiry into former President Joe Biden, and had his sentence commuted by President Donald Trump in March 2025, also absolving him of the financial penalties.
This is the first marriage for Chrisley, 29, and the second for Galanis, Page Six reported. He was previously married to Monet Berger for 20 years.
How Chrisley has responded
Chrisley has defended the relationship and the age gap on her podcast, Unlocked, Page Six reported. She said Galanis “does not look his age, nor does he act his age,” and described him as having a great body and an even sharper mind. “I have always said, ‘I would rather [have] 20 phenomenal, unbelievable years with someone than 50 just [fine] years,’” she said.
She has also spoken directly to the attention around her pregnancy. After sharing a sonogram image, she wrote on Instagram that her baby was “not a headline,” Page Six reported, adding: “You are not defined by anyone’s past, anyone’s mistakes, or anyone’s opinions.” His estranged brother, Derek Galanis, took a different view, telling Page Six the involvement was Galanis’s “biggest con yet” and warning: “This girl’s in for a rocky ride.”
